Laundry.
Like most families, we do a lot of it.
But, this time of year we get to enjoy a bit of God's green earth while we do it. The sun as it tops the trees creates pinpricks of light through the underbrush. The mourning doves serenade us, while hummingbirds do flyby's just above our heads. The breeze flowing through the clothes lifts them up and they dance happily on the line.
And our hearts lift in thankfulness to an awesome Creator God who has blessed us with His creativity. Laundry becomes less a chore and more an opportunity to praise Him. And when you have a little sidekick to help you along every step of the way it becomes pure joy.
5-on-5 is a blog circle where photographers document a little slice of their lives with 5 photos on the 5th of each month. To see another documented moment head on over to Amy's blog. She is a Portland, OR documentary family photographer.

I love these so much Jenny. What a perfect everyday task to have sweet memories of.
ReplyDeleteI wish we could have a laundry line, but we have rules in our little neighborhood against them. Such a joyful act to be in nature together while doing chores!
ReplyDeleteI love that you guys are doing this together and that you're in the frame!
