In the Sun and Wood Smoke

When warm days come in April we spend every minute we can outdoors after dinner. There is bike riding and Frisbee throwing, garden tending, and dancing.

And when the sun starts to kiss the tops of the trees and the wood burner exudes big plumes of smoke that drift low, I rush inside to grab my camera.

There are perfect memories taking place in my yard involving a puppy with a pink Frisbee fetish and a dancing ballerina.

5-on-5 April

These days coloring eggs at our house isn't a crazy, color swappin' party like it used to be.  We are down to about just two of us willing to dip, dunk, and create. The boys will drop in an egg or two, but it definitely isn't what it used to be. So what could be more fun than when your cousins who live almost 3 hours away come to join in an egg coloring fest?

Photo Credit to my daughter Lauren. She captured me with my precious nephew discussing the virtues of the color purple.

Plenty of giggles, stories, creativity, and oohs and ahhs circulated around the table last weekend. It was a glorious cousin, color-fest!
